So, a 1/3 of yer high school buddies were wearing flannel and yellow shit-kickers

...talking/insisting how cool Led Zeppelin, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Sabbath, and Dio are, and how last night they got the old Chevelle running and the fun it was wrecking it into their neighbors mailbox, all this whole while puffing up a Marlboro storm bumming and bogarting on the playground between skipped classes. lyric: "burnouts stub their toes on garbage pails" -Neil Young.

And the Nerds stayed inside the Institution during recess, in the hallways reading their homemade comic books from their lockers, and discussing and comparing their strategies for Dungeons and Dragons. Or in the library reading books or a classroom talking to a science/math teacher about all things that can only be defined as geeky. lyric: "she blinded me with science" -Thomas Dolby.

And the Sport-os were gymming in the gyms, or hanging out on the baseball fields practicing throwing footballs and baseballs, talking about lifting only the heaviest of weights, and how their dad bought them a shiny new fast muscle car. lyric: "bitchin' camaro, bitchin' camaro" -Dead Milkmen.

But somehow, YOU did not fit in with any of these stereotypes.

Then, one of the misfit geeks brought in a cassette copy of a Black Flag record.
Whoa! What's this! Sounds like shit! What's he singing anyways? It's angry. A little scary. Hmm, but this is kinda cool. That's how I feel like sometimes. Can you make me a copy? Black Flag - Jealous Again

Buck-N-Hour Records was born in 2007 out of label frustration. How many labels will say they're your friends, then turn greedy and suck all your energy and profits?
